Project KHETAUN (TOGETHER): WITH KEY STEPS TO INCLUSION OF ROMANI CHILDREN INTO QUALITY EARLY CHILDHOOD PROGRAMS
The aim of our project is on the basis of past experiences of partner organizations, to develop a comprehensive model that includes both work with children, parents and the local community and help raise awareness among educators of their implicit theories, which are often an obstacle to the successful implementation of innovations.

Project SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY FOR INCLUSION OF ROMA CHILDREN
The project aims to promote the Roma children’s inclusion and integration into mainstream education and integration of their families, especially the Roma seniors, in society, promoting cooperation and intercultural dialogue for reduction of the social disparity.

Research “ROMA RIGHTS TO EDUCATION: REALIZATION IN LATVIA AND SUGGESTIONS HOW THE RIGHTS CAN BE EFFECTIVELY REALIZED WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF NATIONAL EDUCATION POLITICS.
The aim of the project is: do the research about the influence factors which determine the specifics of the process of Roma education and integration and opportunities in Latvia, as well as provide information to education and integration policy makers and society about the conditions of accessibility of equal education of Roma in Latvia.

Project BETTER PRACTICER IN TEACHING ROMA CHILDREN. SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCE IN WORK WITH A ROMA CHILD
The aim of the project was – to identify, to analyze and to disseminate the good practices of change in teaching that most impact success of Roma children in pre-school and basic education, and motivate them to continue their education, and to improve knowledge and skills of teachers and teacher assistants working with Roma children – this objective was fully reached. It was proved by the published material “Experience of Latvia teachers in work with Roma children” which was the outcome of the project.
Project REALIZATION OF EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES IN THE AREA OF ROMA EDUCATION
The aim of the project was to organize social discussions and popularize the idea and importance and of inclusive education among the parents of Roma children and pedagogues thus promoting the realization of equal opportunities for Roma children in the area of education.
Project CREATION OF SOCIETY’S TOLERANCE TOWARDS ROMA PEOPLE BY USING POSTCARDS
The aim of the project was to promote the inclusion of Roma community in the society of Latvia with the help of postcards.
2003 – 2006
ROMA IN LOCAL COMMUNITY AND SCHOOLS
The aim of this project was the integration of Roma people in the society of Latvia:
- To promote the multicultural education at schools;
- To promote the intercultural dialog to overcome the biases towards Roma people;
- To educate the people of Latvia about the EU directives against discrimination;
- To decrease the segregation of Roma people in local communities;
- To change the attitude towards Roma children at schools
ROMA CHILD IN A WELCOMING SCHOOL!
The aim of the project was to promote the development of schools as integration centres, building on the experience of Jekabpils, Jelgava and Valmiera in integrating Roma children and creating tolerant society during the previous CEI project “Quality Education for Roma Children”, the model of including Roma children and creating prejudice-free society, offered by the Centre for Education Initiatives, was used also in other districts of Latvia.
QUALITY EDUCATION FOR ROMA CHILDREN
The aim of the project was to overcome school segregation with regard to Roma children by setting up a framework, which would facilitate achievement by these children in the general education system. The project has encouraged Roma families to use their constitutional rights to equitable and quality education for their children to full extent, and helped general education schools to fulfill their commitments with regard to Roma children and their families.
